The key document was signed by senior officials: the Governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratyev, the head of Temryuk district municipality Fyodor Babenkov and the General Director of Demetra-Holding Alexey Gribanov.
The large-scale project includes comprehensive modernization of the port infrastructure. The investments will exceed RUB 9 bln. The scope of work will cover the renovation of berths, dredging, overpass reinforcement, construction of a new gallery, and the development of motor transport logistics involving Smartseeds digital ecosystem. The project is to be implemented between 2024 and 2028.
The project will strengthen the export potential of the Russian agricultural industry and provide additional logistics flexibility in the south of Russia. The investor undertakes to construct the facilities at its own expense, comply with environmental standards, attract local contractors and suppliers, and create new jobs.
The regional and municipal authorities confirmed their readiness to assist in the project implementation.
Alexey Gribanov, General Director of Demetra-Holding:
“Modernization of Taman Grain Terminal Complex comprises the part of the Group’s strategy to develop the up-to-date agricultural and logistics infrastructure. The project will become an important step towards the development of the export potential of the Russian agricultural sector and will strengthen our country’s position in the international agricultural market.”
Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of the Krasnodar region:
“It is important for us that the transshipment of grain and other agricultural products be as transparent as possible and carried out at state-of-the-art facilities rather than in a roadstead. So, we really welcome port modernization projects. The developed infrastructure and logistics capacities will be sufficient for high-quality transshipment of export cargo.”
Fyodor Babenkov, head of Temryuk district municipality:
“The implementation of such a large-scale project will be an important step towards the development of our region. We expect not only the creation of new jobs, but a significantly improved investment attractiveness of the territory, which will have a positive impact on the social and economic development of the municipality.”
