A trilateral statement of intent on cooperation in the investment area was signed between the Administration of the Krasnodar region, the Administration of the hero city of Novorossiysk and Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (NGT, a member of Demetra-Holding) during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2025).
The document was signed by the Governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratyev, the head of Novorossiysk hero city municipality Andrey Kravchenko and the General Director of Demetra-Holding Alexey Gribanov.
The project includes the construction of the third stage of the terminal complex in Novorossiysk. The new railway infrastructure, grain and oilseeds handling terminal, and vegetable oil storage and transportation facilities will be built at NGT. The park-and-ride facility involving Smartseeds electronic queue management will also be developed.
More than RUB 10.8 bln will be invested in the project with commissioning expected in 2029. The implementation of the initiative will improve the logistics stability of the export infrastructure and create opportunities for more efficient shipment of agricultural products.
The strategic partnership provides for project support from regional and municipal authorities in accordance with the effective legislation. The investor represented by Demetra-Holding undertakes to construct the facilities, comply with environmental standards, attract local contractors and suppliers, and create new jobs.
Alexey Gribanov, General Director of Demetra-Holding:
“Investing in agricultural and logistics infrastructure facilities comprises the part of the long-term strategy of our Group. We believe that the implementation of up-to-date technologies and digitalization of processes will significantly improve the performance of Novorossiysk Grain Terminal and strengthen Russia's position in the global grain export market."
Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of the Krasnodar region:
“Modernization of transshipment facilities is a top priority strategic project both for regional and national economy. We are speaking about grain exports, and it is very important that this process be as transparent as possible. We should know exactly how much grain is being prepared for sale, and it can be ensured only by using state-of-the-art port facilities.”
Andrey Kravchenko, head of Novorossiysk hero city municipality:
“Development of the port infrastructure is a key driver of the economic growth of our city. The implementation of the project will improve the efficiency of the entire transport hub, open up new opportunities for businesses throughout the region, and create additional jobs for city residents.”
