The accompanying transport and engineering infrastructure, cargo accumulation and storage facilities, and the cargo base will be developed along with the port infrastructure.
Aleksey Gribanov, General Director of Demetra-Holding LLC:
“The development of port facilities for grain transshipment will contribute to fulfillment of the instructions given by the President of the Russian Federation and the plans of the Ministry of Agriculture to increase exports of agricultural products. We are actively engaged in increasing transshipment port capacities in the south of Russia and developing the export-focused logistics infrastructure chain. The Group is implementing a number of investment projects, including the construction of a railway track in Taman and development of a silo park in Novorossiysk Grain Terminal."
Andrey Tarasenko, Head of Rosmorrechflot:
"The development of modern handling facilities, including for shipment of agricultural products, will improve the competitiveness of Russian ports and grant sustainable access to international markets for agricultural producers. In addition, this will help reduce logistics costs and increase profitability of domestic businesses and budget revenues at all levels.”
The project implementation will increase the capacity of the export infrastructure and the total annual grain transshipment performance from the current 13.6 million tons (including 7.1 million tons by Novorossiysk Grain Processing Plant and 6.5 million tons by Novorossiysk Grain Terminal) up to 25 million tons (including 13.1 million tons by NGPP and 12.5 million tons by NGT), and simultaneous storage capacity from 370 thousand to 870 thousand tons.
