Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (NGT) and Taman Grain Terminal Complex (TGTC, a member of Demetra-Holding) hit grain transshipment highs in January-October 2024.
NGT shipped 6.1 million tons of grain for sea transportation for 10 months of the current year. It is an all-time high for the terminal with a 9% increase from 5.6 million tons shipped for the same period last year.
October 2024 also became a peak month for NGT with 715 thousand tons of grain transshipped for export. The previous record high of 590 thousand tons was achieved in October 2017 with a 22% increase compared to October 2023.
TGTC transshipped 5 million tons of grain for 10 months of 2024 showing a 18% increase from 4.1 million tons transshipped during the same period last year.
Moreover, TGTC hit an all-time high for the number of loaded vessels reaching 120 in January-October 2024 against 100 dry cargo vessels loaded for the first 10 months of last year showing a 20% increase year-on-year.
