Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (NGT, part of Demetra-Holding) has implemented an environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.
Certification confirms the effectiveness of the company's environmental protection activities and ensures environmental safety at all stages of transshipment.
During the preparatory stage, the company's management audited all management and production processes, implemented an environmental policy and related standards, and created an environmental council that monitors and proposes for implementation best practices in global environmental protection.
External auditors verified compliance with the requirements of international standards and also noted the high level of awareness and involvement of employees in environmental and industrial safety issues, as well as the company's continuous development in this direction.
As part of its environmental protection activities, NGT constantly implements a number of measures, including waste sorting (94 types). In 2021, more than 51 million rubles were allocated for environmental protection measures. It is planned to complete the design of new treatment facilities for stormwater runoff from the pier and the parking area by the end of this year.
ISO certification motivates the company to continuously develop and improve its environmental management system, minimize environmental risks and increase environmental safety. The received certificate is valid until 2025, subject to annual confirmation of its compliance.
