Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (NGT, member of Demetra-Holding) completed the agricultural season (July 2023 – June 2024) setting an all-time high: grain transshipment at sea increased by 1.3 million tons compared to the previous agricultural season of 2022/2023 – from 5.8 to 7.1 million tons showing a 22% increase.
An all-time high for vessels handled was also set: 168 bulk carriers were handled by NGT in the 2023/2024 season compared to 148 bulk carriers in 2022/2023 (with a total increase of +14%).
Volumes of received grain increased significantly: more than 52 thousand railcars and about 106 thousand motor vehicles were unloaded at NGT facilities during 2023/2024 compared to the agricultural year of 2022/2023 with 40 thousand railcars and 96 thousand motor vehicles, respectively.
Vladislav Zhukov, Managing Director of NGT:
"Such outstanding performance is achieved primarily due to continuous improvements and teamwork of the terminal’s personnel. We are not going to stop there. The company has a large-scale investment program under which we plan to develop each of the terminal's facilities. So, this year we're going to complete renovation of the area where grain is received from railcars."
