Oktyabrsky Elevator hosted Demetra-Holding Client’s day, which’s attended by more than 60 agribusiness companies of the Volgograd Region and the Republic of Kalmykia, as well as Andrey Klykov, Head of the Oktyabrsky Municipal District Administration, and the representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor.
The results of the 2021-2022 agricultural season of the region were summed up during the event; they showed that Oktyabrsky Elevator shipped more than 170 thousand tons of grain. The participants also discussed the current issues of the upcoming season, such as changes in the legislation of the Russian Federation regarding lockdown measures, and the new customer service tools offered by Demetra Trading.
Andrey Klykov, Head of the Oktyabrsky Municipal District Administration:
‘The region produces about 4 million tons of grain per year, and more than 90% of it is food grain. Business meetings with agricultural producers and grain exporters are part of the action plan for the agricultural sector development, and they help us to jointly elaborate solutions to improve yields and quality of our crops.’
Roman Ilchenko, General Director of Oktyabrsky Elevator, Head of the Volgograd separate subdivision of Demetra Trading:
‘Client’s day has become a traditional event for the Company. For our part, we offer Russian farmers convenient tools to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness, such as advance payment for the future harvest, grain storage services, rail logistics, ‘green channels’ to the ports of shipment, and the transition to digital solutions. I’m sure that the integration of farms into the modern digital space will help to increase the productivity and profitability of the Russian agricultural sector and contribute to productivity growth in related sectors.’
The farmers of the region highly appreciated the results of our work, the high quality of our services and confirmed their intention to cooperate in the new grain season. The farms have started to conclude storage and supply agreements.
Demetra-Holding companies hold client events in the regions of presence on a regular basis. This helps not only to strengthen business relations with partners and improve customer service, but also to establish an exchange of relevant information.
