Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (NGT, part of Demetra-Holding) hosted a Client’s day, which was attended by exporting companies that would work with NGT in the new season. The number of these companies has doubled compared to last year. The results of NGT’s work in the last grain season were summed up and the terminal’s plans for further development were presented during the meeting.
The volume of grain transshipment amounted to 3.9 million tons in the 2021/2022 agricultural season. This was achieved by optimizing the terminal’s business processes, including internal logistics, which increased trucks reception capacity by 50%.
NGT has a queue management system for trucks, which is available on the Smartseeds platform. It significantly optimizes grain delivery processes and reduces the time for unloading trucks.
Last year the terminal expanded its vegetable oil transshipment capabilities and introduced a new ‘tank truck-to-ship’ loading scheme. According to the results of the 1st half of 2022, the volume of oil transshipment reached 50 thousand tons, which is 9 times more than in the same period last year.
Vladislav Zhukov, General Director of NGT:
‘We are always happy to share the results of NGT performance with our partners in a positive environment, which is why we have a good tradition to meet at the beginning of the season and discuss pressing issues. This helps us to better understand the current trends in the grain market and to improve our customer focus. This also helps Demetra-Holding assets to more effectively build the entire supply chain – from a field to grain loading in ports.’
Demetra-Holding client’s days have already become a good platform for summing up and future planning. After the event, the existing partners confirmed their intention to cooperate with NGT in the coming agricultural year.
