Sergey Emdin was appointed CEO of Demetra-Holding. Vitaly Sergeychuk, who had held this position since 2019, became Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company.
Before joining Demetra-Holding, Sergey Emdin was CEO of the telecommunications company Tele2, and before that he was General Director of Northern Capital Gateway LLC, the Pulkovo Airport management company, and had held executive positions in large industrial and energy holdings for more than 10 years.
Sergey Emdin, as CEO, will focus on implementing the group's strategy and developing its assets, as well as improving operational efficiency and completing company's corporate culture development. He will be responsible for strengthening Demetra-Holding's position in the grain market, expanding company's presence in key regions, and developing innovative digital product solutions. One of the key objectives facing the head of the company is to create an industry leader that contributes to the development of the industrial agriculture and outstripping export growth.

Biography
Sergey Emdin was born in Leningrad in 1971. He graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University and University of Kansas. Later he graduated from Harvard Business School in 1998 and Irkutsk State Technical University in 2008. Sergey duly received his Ph.D. in economics.
In 1994-2000 he was with Moscow office of McKinsey & Co.
From 2000 he held senior managerial positions in various companies-members of Severstal Group. In 2002 he was appointed Executive Director of Irkutskenergo OJSC, and in 2005-2008 and later from June 2009 until March 2010 he was General Director of the company. Also, from May 2008 until May 2009 Sergey Edmin was in charge of EuroSibEnergo LLC.
From April 2010 until February 2016 he served as General Director of Northern Capital Gateway LLC. From February 2016 until June 2021 he served as CEO of Tele2.
Sergey is married and has three children.
