Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (NGT, member of Demetra-Holding) completed the next stage of renovation of dust extraction system at the railway acceptance area, which resulted in a 25% reduction of grain dust in the work area.
NGT specialists developed and implemented an up-to-date technology for the area where grain is received from railcars, so dust is captured directly in the intake hopper.
Dust extraction at NGT production facilities is being improved in compliance with the terminal's ISO certified environmental policy, which involves continuous introduction of the best global technologies to mitigate environmental impact.
NGT plans to implement dust extraction renovation projects at the railway acceptance area and introduce new technological solutions for ship loaders by the end of 2024.
Last year, dust extraction system was renovated at the area of grain receipt from motor vehicles: the compressor was replaced with a more productive and up-to-date one, additional dust extraction equipment was installed.
Vladislav Zhukov, Managing Director of NGT:
"Continuous improvement of dust extraction system is one of the most important tasks that faces the terminal as a socially responsible business. The introduction of disruptive technologies in this area is, primarily, our concern for comfortable and safe workplaces, the environment and, as a whole, our contribution to the development of Novorossiysk."
