More than 40 agricultural producers visited the Client’s day at Oktyabrsky Elevator

Demetra Trading Client’s day took place at Oktyabrsky Elevator (part of Demetra-Holding). The event has been attended by about 40 agricultural companies of the Volgograd region and the Republic of Kalmykia, as well as representatives of the Oktyabrsky Municipal District Administration and the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor.

The main topic of the event was summing up the results of the 2022/2023 agricultural season. Oktyabrsky Elevator plans to accept more than 300 thousand tons of grain. It will be an all-time record for the company and for all the grain elevators of the Volgograd region.

The partner companies of Oktyabrsky Elevator have presented the new products, including seasonal contracts from Demetra Trading. Thanks to this option, farmers can choose a convenient grain delivery schedule, which allows them to get the necessary financial resources for investment or repayment of loans at the right time.

Anatoly Zakharov, Head of the Agricultural Committee of the Oktyabrsky District Administration:

‘We have sown 104.5 thousand hectares with winter crops in our region, which annually give us a good harvest. However, harvesting is only half the battle, we have about 100 thousand tons of unsold grain from previous seasons at the moment. And that’s why I’m very pleased to see a queue of grain trucks at the entrance of Oktyabrsky Elevator, because it means that our products find their buyers.’
