Construction of new grain silos and truck unloading facilities has commenced at Dimitrovgradskiy elevator in the Ulyanovsk region.
The company will have 10 new silos with a total storage capacity of 17 800 tons, which will result in a 20% elevator capacity increase from 85 400 to 103 200 tons.
Two unloading lines for grain trucks arriving at the elevator, each with a capacity of 1 500 tons per day, will also be developed at Dimitrovgradskiy elevator. Thus, the truck acceptance capacity will increase 1.5 times from 1 960 to 4 960 tons per day.
The grain loading facilities at the elevator will be upgraded simultaneously with the construction of new truck unloading facilities. The existing equipment capacity will increase from 3 500 to 4 500 tons per day (+29%).
Now, the standing area for trucks has already been developed. Completion of construction work is scheduled for Q2 2025.
Roman Kron, Managing Director of Demetra Trading:
"The implementation of the investment project will turn the liner Dimitrovgradskiy elevator into a full-fledged transshipment hub. Along with truck acceptance volumes, we will also increase rail loading, while grain route shipments are already ongoing. This is especially important for Dimitrovgrad, as the region’s potential can be effectively utilized. We see the involvement of the regional agricultural producers in reliable and long-term cooperation. As the elevator develops, we will be able to offer more profitable contracts, as well as a full range of financial and logistic tools.”
