Demetra Trading entered the milling market

Demetra Trading (a member of Demetra-Holding) proceeded to sell flour products manufactured at Nash Soyuz elevator in the Oryol region on foreign and domestic markets.

Flour was bought by confectionery factories, manufacturers of cookies and rusks and bagels from Russia, Turkmenistan and Belarus. Bran, which is a by-product of flour milling, is supplied to feed mills on the domestic market.

For the period from November 2024 to February 2025, 5 860 tons of finished goods were produced, including bran, premium and first grade flour under 'Posolskaya' brand. In 2025, Nash Soyuz mill plans to produce 40 thousand tons of finished goods, expand its operations on export markets, and enter retail chains.

Roman Kron, Managing Director of Demetra Trading:

“The sale of flour products was not initially a core business for our company, but we see high market demand. Regular deliveries of grain of the required quality allowed production to quickly reach its estimated capacity, and sales crossed the Russian borders proving the product competitiveness. In this regard, contracts with Belarusian companies are representative, as they have strict requirements to baking quality of flour.”
