Smartseeds holds leadership in grain shipment digitalization following 2024/2025 season

Smartseeds digital logistics platform (a member of Demetra-Holding) confirmed its status of the leading digital platform for agriculture in the past grain season. The company is among the top three largest digital freight forwarders, and was the first in the grain market to launch shipments using electronic waybills and start developing the digital ecosystem for cargo transportation.

Smartseeds's key achievement in the 2024/2025 agricultural season is the launch of shipments using electronic waybills in the industry. Shipments are carried out in production mode, with more than 13,000 tons of grain handled using electronic documents during the season.

Smartseeds held leadership in the past agricultural season, including in shipment volumes, which are similar to the 2023/2024 level and exceeded 2 mln tons. There are more than 19,000 freight forwarders registered on Smartseeds now, and the coverage expanded to 34 Russian regions (from 28 regions in 2023/2024). The number of customers exceeded 2,500 companies.

Smartseeds continues to improve the marketed digital solutions. Thus, a transport tracking tool was implemented in the Electronic Queue service, which allows tracking cargo in real time, and subsequently cutting down the costs and improving efficiency of logistics operations. This technology has already been tested and is successfully operating at Novorossiysk Grain Terminal.

In the 2024/2025 season, Smartseeds started developing its own digital ecosystem for grain market participants. The first step was the launch of sales of tractors, trailers and semi-trailers for road transportation of grain and other cargo.

Anton Kondratov, Director of Smartseeds:
